3 DAYS SIPI FALLS SAFARIS
Day 1
Your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7.00am and depart for Sipi Falls on the slope of Mount Elgon. Drive through Mabira forest, sugar cane and tea plantations. In the foothills of Mount Elgon is where three beautiful falls, the Sipi Falls are found. Mount Elgon is a 4,321m high extinct volcano which in prehistoric times stood taller than Kilimanjaro. Have a stop over in the lively bustling market town of Mbale town to look at Bugisu architecture reminiscent of the colonial area. You may be luck to catch the all year round street carnivals, which climax in circumcision for the youngsters. Overnight at Lacam Lodge/Sipi falls camp.
Day 2
After enjoying a late breakfast while feasting on a magnificent view, enjoy a hiking tour on mount Elgon. The abseiling takes about 4 hours and the unique and thrilling experience has beautiful views of the Sipi falls while going down the edge of a 100 metre cliff. Return to your lodge for lunch, and later in the afternoon, take a gentle walk to the bottom of the falls and possibly walk up to the neighbouring Manyara Caves. There is an opportunity to view a variety of forest monkeys, small antelopes, elephants, buffalos and over 300 bird species found no where else in Uganda,so a birding safari could be in order. Overnight at Lacam Lodge/Sipi falls camp.
Day 3
After breakfast depart Sipi falls and continue to Jinja, and visit “the source of the River Nile,” Have lunch and you will continue to the Bujagali falls where different cultural activities take place like Acrobatic, Dances, waterfalls well-known for white water Rafting base, etc and arriving back to Kampala in the evening.
